What is a property check service?
A property check service visits your home while you're away and inspects it for damp, leaks, storm damage, security problems and post build-up. You get a timestamped photo report after every visit, so you know your Isle of Wight property is safe without making the ferry crossing.
Which parts of the Isle of Wight do you cover?
We're based in Cowes and cover the whole Island, including Newport, Ryde, Sandown, Shanklin, Ventnor, Yarmouth, Bembridge, Freshwater, Seaview and the villages in between.
How much does an Isle of Wight property check cost?
For homes with up to 2 bedrooms, plans start at £25 a month for one visit. The Standard plan is £40 a month for two visits and Premium is £70 a month for weekly visits. Homes with 3 or 4 bedrooms add £5 per visit (£30, £50 and £90 a month), and homes with 5 or more bedrooms or large grounds are priced on request. A one-off check with no plan is £35 (£40 for 3 to 4 bedrooms), and a post-storm emergency check is £15.
Is my home insurance affected if my property is empty?
Many home insurance policies require unoccupied properties to be inspected regularly, often every 7 to 30 days. Check your own policy wording. Our dated photo reports give you a written record of every visit.
Do you look after holiday lets and second homes?
Yes. We check second homes, holiday cottages, holiday lets between bookings, and properties that are empty during a sale or probate. We can also air and heat the property before you arrive.
